VIETNAM COFFEE FESTIVAL – ANNUAL ACTIVITIES IN SON LA
Coffee Festival is an annual activity on December 10, attracting many investors, businesses and coffee companies of the whole country participate. Festivals to promote the brand, introduce products and ways to grow coffee in a sustainable way. From there, high-value products are produced, specific characteristics of regions across the country.
At the festival, the delegates reviewed the traditional history of Vietnamese Coffee Day. At the same time, the results of the implementation of the Son La coffee development program were also reiterated. Over 30 years of ups and downs, up to now, Son La has risen to become one of the provinces with the largest area largest coffee and tea production in the country. With an area of over 20,000 hectares. Output in 2021 is estimated at 40,000-45,000 tons of kernels worth 3,500 – 4,000 billion VND.

Currently, Son La coffee has been granted a geographical indication “Son La Coffee” for the following types of products: Raw green coffee, roasted coffee beans and ground coffee. As a regional specialty product, 1 of the first 20 5-star OCOP products of Vietnam. Highly appreciated by domestic and foreign consumers.
